YouTube – O-Ren Ishii and the Bride fight scene from the Movie.
Another white ninja! It’s violent, be warned.
Let me start off by saying some positives.
I still like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, and the actors chosen for the parts were alright.
Alright, that’s enough positives.
The movie entertained like a 90’s comic explaining Wolverine’s origins and villains, with huge plot holes and CGI terribleness. If you like going back and reading those comics, you’ll probably like the movie.
That’s right…in this day and age, they made a movie where the CGI was so…SO very bad. Sorry Sony, you can’t get away with that after Iron Man. Wolverine’s claws looked like the plastic ones you buy at Wal-Mart.
It was bad, and the worse part; it wasn’t even entertaining for me. I liked Punisher: War Journal so much better in that regard. At least it didn’t take itself seriously and presented the material in an entertaining way.
Oh well, let Marvel get their rights back and have them do something decent with the franchise. With X3 and X-men origins, Sony has shown they don’t know what to do with the X-men franchise.
I forgot to mention, Wolverine actually walks away/runs away from 4 fights in the movie before either being chased down or remembering that he SHOULD fight and then comes back. Whatever happened to Wolverine hitting first and asking questions later?
Here’s the first step: contact Matt Fraction, writer of Uncanny X-men currently, and pay him a gazillion amount of money to write a good plot!

In celebration of Wolverine opening today, I put up a desktop for you all to enjoy!
I will be at the “The Comic Store” in Lancaster, doing free sketches and pimping out the webcomic tomorrow for Free Comic Book Day, please come out and say hi. I’ll be there from 10-3pm probably.
